Pippa’s Kitchen - A love for food story!

Here at Pippa’s Kitchen, our philosophy to food and healthy eating has always been about enjoying everything you eat, in a balanced way. Time pressures cause people to eat whatever is available, wherever they are which contributes to their view that food is necessary, not something to be enjoyed.

By creating our delicious hand-crafted meals, we hoped to show that food and eating is one of life’s greatest joys. By using quality ingredients and cooking small, fresh batches – we can provide our customers with delicious, restaurant quality meals that have a great shelf-life, all while never being frozen.

Our Team

PIPPA - Chef/Co-Founder

Growing up dreaming of writing a healthy food cookbook, Pippa entered the commercial kitchen in 2009 as a 1st year apprentice at Tutte Bene (Southgate). Her love of Italian cuisine blossomed and she moved on to Donovan’s (St Kilda) where she completed her apprenticeship – excelling through the kitchen sections like few before her.

Not wanting to be held back, Pippa and her soul mate James set off on a global culinary adventure – working in world class Michelin stared restaurants including Murano, under Chef Angela Harnett (protege of Chef Gordan Ramsey).

On her return to Australia, Pippa worked as Sous Chef at Van Haandel’s ‘Fatto’ bar and cantina before her entrepreneurial side took over and she and James opened ‘Pippa’s Kitchen’.

JAMES - Chef/Co-Founder

James’ passion for healthy and delicious food developed at an early age. After leaving school, he spent his five years working in the Fruit industry, developing his organisational & management skills as a Production Manager.

Eventually his inner-calling became too strong and he entered the kitchen, commencing an apprenticeship at award-winning Donovan’s in St Kilda. After successful completion of his apprenticeship, James & Pippa embarked on a world-wide culinary journey which included working at Michelin Star Level in demanding inner London.

Since returning to Australia, James has worked at Melbourne’s iconic ‘The Botanical’ in South Yarra, and in 2014, together with Pippa, started Pippa’s Kitchen – a prepared meals business, delivering fresh and quality meals to local suburbs.
